Agenda for November 2013 general meeting. East/West Link presentation
The next monthly meeting of the Association is this Tuesday (19/11/2013) at 7.30pm. The venue is the Dewey Common, Bastow Institute, 601 Queensberry Street, North Melbourne (enter from Union Street to the west with access for all). This is a very important meeting as the Linking Melbourne Authority will present on the East/West Link Proposal and the Comprehensive Impact Statement (C.I.S.) released earlier this month. Documentation etc will be available on the night. The presentation, about 30 minutes, will be from Geoff Rayner Director and Chief Operations Officer at the Authority. A quick reminder that, David Mayes, Manager Strategic Planning, City of Melbourne has been invited to talk and to answer questions about Planning Scheme Amendment C207/207 Arden-Macaulay Heritage. This is a very important issue as it is dealing with the Arden-Macaulay Structure Plan area. Heritage has been very important in the past for the Association and members will see this meeting as crutial. Minutes from October 2012 planning meeting
The minutes from the planning Committee meeting can be are here. The main discussions in the meeting were about the Arden-Macaulay Amendment C190, the City North Amendment C196. Other planning issues also discussed were the Woolworths project in Canning Street and the Baptist Church site.

East West Link minutes
The Association have received the official meeting minutes from Adam Bandt's office for the East West Link meeting held on the 29th March 2012. Rose Iser chaired the meeting, which was well attended. Attendees are listed in the minutes. Janet Graham from the NWMA was at the meeting and presented her minutes to the Association during the April meeting.
Association Reps Meet Planning Minister Advisors
On Friday November 4, Association Chair, Kevin Chamberlin, and Bill Cook met with influential members of the Planning Minister, Matthew Guy’s staff. They were Daniel Parsons, Ministerial Advisor and Adrian Salmon, Assistant Director, Statutory Approvals, Department of Planning and Community Development. The meeting covered issues that the Association has experienced in recent times about the operation of the planning scheme. These are covered in the following link Parsons3Nov11. VEC Review of City of Melbourne Wards and Councillor numbers
The electoral representation review (ERR) of Melbourne City Council will commence on Monday, 24 October. The review will consider the appropriate number of the councillors for the municipality and whether the City should be divided into wards. Update on Proposed Woolworth’s Development
The local resident's group RAID, Residents about Integrated Development, have organised two major meetings in their campaign to modify the proposed development for site at 101 - 117 Canning Street, North Melbourne.
