The NWMA has prepared a flyer with an alternative Arden-Macaulay Structure Plan. As residents, we have a very good understanding of what we have and of how growth can be achieved without sacrificing everything that we love about living here. The plan can be viewed here.

Minutes from October 2012 planning meeting
The minutes from the planning Committee meeting can be are here. The main discussions in the meeting were about the Arden-Macaulay Amendment C190, the City North Amendment C196. Other planning issues also discussed were the Woolworths project in Canning Street and the Baptist Church site.

Council Elections, Meet the Candidates
The coming Council election is by postal vote only. You should receive two ballots (one for the Lord Mayor and Deputy and one for the election of 9 Councillors) between 9 and 11 October. You'll need to return ballots by 26 October. To help you understand who is running for the positions, there are two 'Meet the Candidates' meetings forums being held, one in Kensington and the other in Carlton. The details are as follows: The Carlton Resident's Association will present 'Meet the Candidates' in the Church of All Nations, 180 Palmerston St, (cnr Drummond St) Carlton at 7.30 pm

Agenda for 21 August 2012 general meeting
The agenda for the Tuesday 21st August meeting can be downloaded from here. The meeting will be in the Meeting room on the first floor of the North Melbourne Library. The meeting starts at 7.30pm but please arrive a bit earlier if you can. This month, we have two guest speakers: Dave Collins from Synergetics, Environment Engineering West Melbourne will make a presentation on his green building in Spencer Street. Dianne King from City of Melbourne Arts and Culture Branch to speak about the Public Art Commissions 2013 See you all there.
